Consumer Notice  on Agency Disclosure

Understanding Your Relationship With Your Real Estate Brokerage

At New & Modern, we are extremely committed to ensuring that all consumers and clients clearly understand who represents them, what services are being provided, and what duties are owed throughout the real estate process.

Real estate agency laws vary by state, and as a result, each state requires its own Consumer Information Statement, Agency Disclosure, Consumer Notice, or similar disclosure document that explains the types of relationships that may exist between consumers and real estate professionals.  Because New and Modern is licensed across multiple states, we have shared all of these notices here for easy access.

These disclosures help you understand:

  • Whether a real estate agent represents you, another party, or both parties in a transaction.

  • The differences between being a customer and being a client.

  • The duties and responsibilities owed under various agency relationships.

  • How confidentiality, loyalty, advocacy, and representation work during a transaction.

  • Available options such as buyer representation, seller representation, designated agency, dual agency, transaction brokerage, or facilitator relationships where permitted by law.

Please select the state where you are buying, selling, leasing, or otherwise conducting real estate business to review the applicable disclosure document(s). These disclosures are provided to help consumers make informed decisions regarding representation and agency relationships.

Reviewing these materials does not obligate you to work with New & Modern or enter into any brokerage agreement.  Representation agreements are negotiated separately.

By reviewing this page, you acknowledge that you have been given access to these documents and had the opportunity to review the applicable disclosure for your state herein.  If you have questions regarding any disclosure or would like to discuss your representation options, please contact a New & Modern real estate professional or Broker, before proceeding with a transaction.
